Our parish is up for the climate change challenge – we want to help to make the rec more beautiful, do something positive to make our environment more resilient to climate change, and help to offset the effects of both traffic pollution and ash die back.
We’re inviting the younger members of our parish (aged 10 – 19) to help plant 60 trees, beginning on Saturday 2nd of January at 10.30 am on the rec. If you would like to dedicate the tree(s) you plant to someone or something important to you, we have some writeable tags for names or a message that can be tied to the tree.
Please let us know here if you intend to come, as we need to be careful and safe with regards to Covid. We will be working socially distanced, and If numbers are large we will space the planting times across the day or over a couple of weekends.
PLEASE BRING: A mask, hand wash, a spade, warm clothing, gloves and wellies, a snack and drink.
If you are aged 12 or under please come with an adult.
