Q. Can I view the hall before making a final booking?

A. Yes, a visit can be arranged through the Booking secretary who will respond to your provisional booking.

Q. What is the seating capacity?

A. The main hall has capacity for 180 people in total, but if the function is seated, this is reduced to 120. These numbers include bar and catering staff. The Pavilion room has a capacity for 50 people in total.

Q. Is there access for disabled persons?

A. Yes and there is also a wash room facility.

Q. Are there any baby changing facilities?

A. Yes

Q. At what time must the hall be vacated?

A. Please see our licence for finishing times

The hall and kitchen must be cleared of food and other items and the tables and chairs must be put away before vacating the premises.

EQUIPMENT

Q. Does the hall hire charge include furniture?

A. The hire charge includes use of tables and chairs. You will be responsible for erecting these and putting them away. If the event is outside, an additional booking bond will be required at the time of booking.

Q. Are cutlery and crockery supplied?

A. If you hire the kitchen then you are permitted to use the crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils. However you should satisfy yourself that they meet your needs. If you using an outside caterer then it is usual for them to provide matching crockery and cutlery.

Q. Can I hire our own equipment?

A. Yes, but it will have to be removed at the end of the event.

CATERING

Q. Can I do my own catering or hire an outside caterer?

A. Yes, the Hall does not have an in-house caterer.

BAR

Q. What are the arrangements for the bar?

Q. What time does the bar stop serving drinks?

A. Opening times must conform with the terms of our licence, however, you will need to make final arrangements with the Bar Manager once a booking has been confirmed

Q. Can I bring my own wine and other drinks?

A. Should you wish to provide your own alcoholic beverages and other drinks you may do so. Please discuss this with the booking clerk at the time of booking. Please note that we are unable to supply glass wear. Any drinks containers i.e. glasses, cans, bottles brought on to the premises will remain the responsibility of the hirer who must ensure their removal from the premises at the end of period of hire.

NB: If you wish to provide alcohol yourself then it must be done so in accordance with current licensing legislation. You are not permitted to sell alcohol or to use the bar facilities.

MUSIC

Q. Can I hire a live band and/or disco?
